#1 President’s International Distinction Scholarship:
Benefits: First-year students entering with exceptional admission averages and exhibited leadership abilities are eligible for the Presidents International Distinctions scholarship program. Under a Canada Student Visa Permit, undergraduate students can receive up to $120,000 CDN (during the study over 4 years).
#2 International Leader Scholarship
Benefits: The applicant with an excellent academic record and leadership qualities may receive up to $10,000 CAD.
#3 May Quon Undergraduate Scholarship
Benefits: The entering first-year students from China or Hong Kong who have a high entrance average and require financial aid to finish their undergraduate degrees on a Canada Student Visa Permit can get up to $100,000. (during the study over 4 years).
#4 University Of Alberta Global Citizen Scholarship For IB Diploma International Students
Benefits: First-year students who need financial support while studying in Canada on a Study Visa Permit and have exceptional academic records and a strong academic standing for their International Undergraduate Diploma can receive up to $53,000 per year for a maximum of four years.

#1 Department-Specific Awards

#2 University Of Alberta Graduate Recruitment Scholarship
Benefits: Offering Recruiting Scholarships has the goal of affording graduate students with outstanding academic records and the capacity to contribute to the community and research at the University of Alberta with complete financial support. The Scholarships are awarded in $5,000 increments. The institution will choose how many raises it may provide to particular pupils.
#3 University Of Alberta Graduate Entrance Scholarship
The University of Alberta Graduate Entry Scholarship is available to newly accepted graduate students who have good admissions rankings from their department. For Master’s students, scholarships worth $17,500 are available, while those for doctoral candidates are worth $21,000.
Notably, domestic students will also receive an additional $5,800 in financial aid, while international students will have the opportunity to receive an additional $10,000 to help with tuition.

#5 FGSR Graduate Student Online Conference Award
Benefits: Graduate students may receive a one-time grant award (up to $500) from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR) to help with the cost of attending an online conference.
#6 Graduate Student Engagement Scholarship
Benefits: The chosen student will receive the $10,000 University of Alberta Graduate Student Engagement Award in two lump sum payments.
#7 Killam Trust Scholarships
One of Canada’s largest and most prestigious endowments, The Killam Trust’s $400 million Scholarships program offers scholarships to domestic and foreign students at the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR). They have already donated millions of dollars to the University of Alberta’s research and development efforts.
The scholarship award is worth up to $45,000 per year for two years (extension of the scholarship award is possible), and there may also be an option for an international graduate differential fee.
