Scholarship Description:

Monash University offers Monash Graduate Scholarships to support international students pursuing PhDs and Research Masters.

Scholarships are awarded by Monash University and the university/university registration unit. grants. Scholarships are only available to students with living expenses while studying in Monash.

Meet Monash’s competitive scholarship selection process requirements

Fluency in English is required for Monash University’s academic program. Complete documents supporting your English Proficiency (ELP) must be submitted with your application for admission and scholarship. Monash University reserves the right to view more ELP documents.

If the applicant’s main language is not English (ie if English is from a country where the official language is not official), the ELP must be completed in at least one of the following ways:

Language of Instruction:

Diplomas obtained more than five years prior to the application for admission will not be considered, with the exception of arts and law schools, which must be completed within two years.

English Language Test:

Tests that are taken more than two years prior to the proposed commencement date will not be accepted.

TOEFL At Home is an online test that Monash is accepting on a trial basis while other approved English test centers are closed.

Cambridge Linguaskill General is an online test that Monash is accepting on a trial basis while other accredited English test centers are closed. To take the Linguaskill test, students in China register and complete the test. . If you are outside of China, you will not be able to register for the test at Monash University. However, if you have already taken the test in the last three years, you can attach the official test report to your application for assessment.

Application Procedure:

You can apply for a Graduate Research Scholarship when applying for a course unless you are already registered. Whether you are a freshman or a current student, the same application process is used for both admission and scholarships through our candidate portal. There is no need to specify the scholarship you are applying for as it will automatically be considered for all graduate research grants (if eligible).
