Situated in the beautiful Fraser Valley in British Columbia, just a short drive away from the US border, UFV has mild weather, with less than 14 days of snow a year, stunning sights, and beautiful west-coast rainforests. One of Canada’s most ethnically diverse regions, the Fraser Valley is, as cities across Canada, a safe and friendly place for international students to live and study.

Of UFV’s total student population, approximately 9.5% are international, with 55 countries represented on campus and top student nationalities including Chinese, Indian, Saudi, Korean, and Japanese.

UFV’s Abbotsford campus has a math center, career and advising centers, an indigenous student center, a student newspaper, and radio. UFV’s Chilliwack campus boasts a fully equipped dental clinic, a black box theatre, an EEG lab, an environmental chamber, a First Nations gathering place, a 783 square meter barn with a livestock area, and a 600 square meter greenhouse.

UFV’s main strengths include its small class sizes (typically 25 to 36 students per classroom), experiential learning opportunities, and affordable tuition fees.
