The Intricate History
The asylum’s construction began in 1859 on the top of the Ghora Gali hills. Lawrence Asylum was located near the current Junior School. The work was finished and the building was occupied by l860. It served as both a boys’ and a girls’ hostel. However, due to a scarcity of student housing, the construction of a separate dormitory for the females began in 1867. Prep School is the current name of this structure. The construction was finished in 1868, and the structure was put into use. In 1869, a commission was formed to evaluate several Indian asylums, with the goal of preventing the construction of new structures since the asylums were in poor financial standing. In 1873, Lord Napier paid a visit to the facility and advised that a new structure be built to expand the capacity because the asylum was in poor condition.
Selection of a site for the chapel was conducted in 1878. Before this, the girls’ hostel was being used for divine services. In the same year, headmaster’s house was constructed. The year 1878 proved to be the year of the buildings. In 1881, the construction of the chapel began and the first stone was laid by the Bishop of Lahore. A small hospital, boys’ work-shop and a rifle range were built in the Year 1891.

The prestigious college is currently accepting applications from skilled, enthusiastic, and devoted male candidates for the position of Lecturer General Science (BPS-17). Only men are eligible to apply.
These Lecturers Jobs are open to applicants with a Master’s Degree in Botany, Zoology, or Chemistry with a 1st Division and a B.Ed/M.Ed. Applicants must be between the ages of 23 and 45.
