Transfer students from community colleges in California are welcome at GCU to pursue a bachelor’s degree at our prestigious private Christian institution in Phoenix.
You will be accepted to GCU automatically and be able to enroll in an undergraduate degree program if you fulfill one of the TAG requirements.

- 6-24 transferrable college credits: Post-secondary (college) transcripts with an unweighted GPA of 2.75 or above
- 25-90 transferrable college credits: Post-secondary (college) transcripts with an unweighted GPA of 2.25 or above
- Fully certified Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) or California State University General Education (CSU GE Breadth) – with a minimum cumulative transfer GPA of 2.25
Tuition for California Residents:
No tuition from out of state! Californian transfer students are exempt from paying out-of-state tuition at GCU. Regardless of your transfer status, after institutional grants and subsidies, the average annual cost of tuition is about $8,600*. Transfer students are also exempt from paying application costs for admission, with room and board starting at just $6,250 annually**.
